What order should you fight team star? ›

For Pokémon Scarlet players, you'll want to bring Water, Grass, Ice, Flying, Psychic, and Fairy-type Pokémon. Pokémon Violet players would do well to bring along their Fire, Water, Fighting, and Ground-type Pokémon.

The Dark Crew base is located in the West Province, south of Cascarrafa, and is the first Team Star base to which players should head. During the Star Barrage, players will encounter Murkrow, Pawniard, Sneasel, Stunky, Zorua, Sableye, and Nymble, which of course are all Dark-type Pokémon.

Giacomo is the boss of Team Star's Segin Squad and a Dark-type specialist, but he is ultimately considered the easiest of the Team Star generals. Each boss brings their own value and expertise to the table, with Giacomo as the DJ and creator of Team Star's themes.

With this introduction complete, you're free to complete the three storylines - Victory Road, Path of Legends and Starfall Street - at your own pace. This means you can jump between the three storylines, moving between defeating Gym Leaders to investigating the Titan Pokémon, whenever you like.

Unlike some of the older Pokemon games, there isn't an obvious 'best starter' in Scarlet & Violet, especially as there are three different paths to complete and you can tackle them in any order you like. However, we believe that Fuecoco is the best starter for beating the game's main story.

Fighting-type Pokémon are susceptible to Psychic, Fairy, and Flying-type moves, but just bringing those types to the fight won't get you far, since she has a solid answer for all of them.

As the strongest of the bosses in Scarlet and Violet's Team Star bases, Eri has the best team comp among her peers. With a solid team of five Fighting-type Pokémon, she can be harder to face than most Gym Leaders.

After the player has defeated all five squad bosses, Cassiopeia reveals that she was Team Star's "big boss" and invites the player to meet at the academy's schoolyard after dark, where she reveals her identity as Penny.

Once this Pokemon is defeated, you'll receive new TMs to craft and a healthy amount of League Points from Cassiopeia.
